yea, i dont get why ricers do crazy paints jobs, and get lots of stickers and vinyl. if you race so much, dont you want to be stealthy, and hide from cops?

dont you guys know cool when you see it ?

those wings are big time item since Fast/Furious? Every car around here thats modded has that big bull horn wing.

Truth is its old and worn out. some "know it all" car modder probably stole the idea from the cadillacs that used to ride around with the bull horns on front.

now its just tossed on the back !

anyways i wouldnt be to hard on the guy. if im not mistaken that guy is trying to work his way through college to get a good job at Chiquita Banana

Be sure to drop on by the official website after enjoying this showcase Maxima.

While its not my taste, that car is not any where near in the category of the first one I posted. I dont like the wing, but the rest of the car looks like its well painted and in good shape. I would just say , get rid of the spinners in sig, unless they are Davins...

Its funny how everyone flames the first yellow car, then the member on the board gets "mad props for all the custom work"

why dont you give the ricer made props for his custom civic front end and altima tail or whatever he has going on then?

So contradicting...

--the yellow 3rd gen in oceanside is tasteless and sick.
--the black and red hybrid butcher jobbed 3rd gen with the phugly alty lights and honda front end is tasteless, sick, and an act of treason.
--the yellow modded 4th gen with the cliched and ghetto gangsta pimp spinning chrome and altezzas and wing makes the nice paint job phuk ugly. lots of money and time spent on tasteless crap.

great job, fellas. excuse me while i go puke.

Everyone mods to their own tastes...if that means blinding yellow paint and wings...to each their own. because there is someone else out there that loves what you did to your car...IMHO

Nothin' to think about. I'm a happily married man who doesn't need to "mack on the ladies." But I have had a few phone numbers left on the windshield and girls askin' around about it. My wife hates that.

Now THAT is the most intelligent thing in this entire thread I've heard yet. Good call!!

Sure, there are the 'purists' that like that clean, low-key, "wings-and-badges-and-wild-paint-are-for-ricers" approach. Then, there are those that want to stand out and be noticed. To each their own.

This is my own opinion, but here's MY take on all three of those cars:
  • The first yellow 3rd gen, while not a color I'd pick personally, DOES show a certain bit of thoughfullness with that kit (kinda reminds me of what's-his-name's kit on that greenish 3rd gen in England - David, I think...)
  • The red/black modded 3rd gen is.... well, inventive to say the least. I'd NEVER have considered putting any other manufacturer's lights, let alone Altima tails, on a 3rd Gen (no offense, shavedmax - yours is STILL off the chains..)
  • foetray's 4th gen, although still going with what I said about yellow paint schemes, is overall a very nice-looking 4th gen. Nothing wrong with what he's done with it

That is a terrible Maxima. I think the color and the mods are way overboard. It doesn't even recognize as a Nissan nor the coolness. It deserves a title of cars that belongs to the junkers.

foetray,

you did a great job on your car. you have executed everything to show standards from the look of it. i do not doubt it turns heads and wins accolades. i am not you. you are not me. and i flamed your car. it is not the paint job. that is actually very well done. i never have a problem with yellow. but i cannot stand your rims. they look like too much jewelry are are gigantic. have you ever considered black or gunmetal spokes with a polished lip? you can still have your show-chrome with that setup, but with far more taste and match-quality.

it seems like you really want an SUV. put the spinners on the Escalade.

Thanks. That comment lets me know that I did what I intended to do. Make it stand out in a crowd. As a show car you don't want to blend in, you want ot make a lasting impression. Whether you oike my car or not, you'll remember it and that's what I wanted.
