Those with 300Z Brakes, Did you Replace Caliper Bolts?
Those with 300Z Brakes, Did you Replace Caliper Bolts?
Since I have replaced my brakes with 300Z brakes there is a distinct knocking/rattling from the front driver side when I first start driving the car, and then it seems after a mile it stops and all is good except under really bumpy surfaces. I originally thought that the steering knuckle wasn't ground down far enough, modified it a little more, and while some of the noise went down, sometimes it is just as loud. I used the stock Maxima cliper bolts when the calipers were replaced and these look close to the rotor and I was wondering if the 300Z bolts aren't as long as I will try that next, but need to know if they would make a difference. If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know. . .
BTW it is 93 Calipers if that makes a difference

the Z32 ones are shorter... but don't worry about that. if they hold the caliper on the car, then they do their job. it's not going to make a difference which bolts you use0 just make sure you got them torqued to spec.
Thanks guys. . . I think I have now traced my noises to something in the strut tower. . . strut tower moves WAY too easily. Seems like a bearing problem. . . may need to replace the bearing and see if that helps.
