Driving gloves

In the mornings it gets pretty damn cold out and my hands are freezing. Ive looked around for some nice gloves and had these in mind http://www.dccarcare.com/wsgloves.html anyone have these? how warm are they? Im looking for something warm yet thin enough to have a good feeling of the shifter and steering wheel.
BTW im not looking to get any of those pepboys riceboy "racing" gloves so anyone have suggestions for real gloves that are made to do the job?

Those should work. Some kind of soft leather, still relatively thin, but very supple (that's such a weird looking word, isn't it--supple) would be great.

The ones I use are a thin layer of neoprene on the back, and fake leather crap on the palm side.. very comfy, and pretty warm.
They're actually Smith + Wesson shooting gloves.. bought them from a S&W store at an outlet mall, but they're great. look most like regular gloves too so people don't give you the funky looks from driving around w/ yuppie gloves on.

I use a police glove too. The company is Hatch. They make a variety of them with a very thin grippy leather palm and a neoprene back.

Check at: http://www.hatch-corp.com/lawpages/ns430p.html

Also http://www.hatch-corp.com/lawpages/ns430.html These ones don't have the reinforcement on the index finger.

I've used these for a couple years now. I find they wear out after a year or so. But they're only $20-25 a pair anyways. So its no big deal.

They fit nice and tight, and stick to the steering wheel really well. For police work they're ok. You can still write in your notebook with them on, reach in your pocket to get your keys, and open coffee lids. But you wouldn't want to use them during a search of a person since they're not cut or fluid resistant.

They make cool as hell looking driving gloves though.

CM.

i use mechanix gloves. they are made for working on cars, so i already had a set. (I used them in NY when i was visiting, not here in california ) they are lightweight, and dont restrict hand or finger movement, and kept my hands plenty warm...also they are pretty tough and can stand up to working on a car all day.

I use Mechanix FastFit gloves. Comfortable, breathable, but still warm.

I have some cheap knockoff Sparco suade gloves. Very warm and they have that extra grip that suade gives you. Got them for free from a guy who owns a karting track up here. Mine are blue.

LLbean rabbit fur lined leather gloves, and USarmy dress gloves (a friend is in the national guard, hooked me up). they're good for different things, the rabbit fur is very warm, they're slightly big on me but very comfortable..not a whole lot of feel though.
the dress gloves have excellent feel but not as comfortable as the rabbit fur, although i just got them a few days ago so they're not very broken in.

I need some driving gloves and the Hatch ones seem good. Where did you buy yours?

Bought them from a police supply place. The Hatch website should have a dealer list? If not a quick google search should turn up something online that will ship to you.

I have a heated steering wheel so I don't have to use gloves when its cold out. I can't live without the heated steering wheel now. It like crack. Once you use it you're hooked.

Checkout Wilson's leather or something...

my leather driving gloves don't see any use anymore, since I got the heated steering wheel
