Changing my clutch tommrow... Q's

I have read around on the org that when people changed there clutch they had there flywheel resurfest....but then when i look at the instructions i printed out from http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php they say to use just 180 sand paper...
So witch one is it?

I didn't read your link but resurfacing a flywheel generally mean taking it to the machine shop and having them resurface the clutch mounting area, kinda like resurfacing a brake rotor or cylinder heads. All in the name of having a completely smooth mounting surface. But on the same hand somtimes I come from the city of getto style mechanic work, and using a sandpaper would probably fall under that catagory. Then again it depends on the condition of the flywheel.

Don't tell nobody but I've changed head gaskets on cars where I'm in a bind for time and I did use a sandpaper to clean up the cylinder head and engine block mating surface. This usually happens about 2-3am where most machine shops that I know off are usually closed at that time and I needed the car up and running for the morning

But to make it official I'm going to say take it to a machine shop
