has anyone installed this gentex nvs auto dimming mirror? it comes with an outside temp gauge and compass...will it fit onto the nissan/infiniti stock mirror mounting bracket? I have a 96 I30 with manual rearview mirror....

 

i have the one that is auto-dimming with the compass. For mine all i had to do is remove the stock, place a button on the window to hold the mirror and run a power and ground.

With a temp gauge you will have to run the wires for the sensor and mount the sensor some where.

I actually havent purchased one yet....jusrt search google gor gentex auto dimming mirror and they will come up....they are fairly expensive though, at yp to 240 or so for the temp and compass equiped one! geo1317, did you get your application specifically for the maxima (or I30?) Or can you just order a generic one that fits (most) cars? thanks!

i got the mirror from ebay and it was a GM part, but gentex makes all the mirrors anyway. got it for like $60 i think.

 

thats nice geo, I would definitly like to get one of those, compass in the mirror is a nice feature
