I am looking into a radar detector. Anyone have experience with Solo detector?

 

neva heard of it myself. i can tell u tho that the V1 is amazing and for me has already paid itself off atleast 3 times.

also regardless of what u get dont forget this.. it is a radar detector, not a cop detector or a life savor. no matta how careful u are istant and laser are deadly.

I have a bell vector 895 or whatever the model is...and i like it. Its picked up radar 2-3 miles away. Whats also nice about it is you can turn off any band that you dont want displayed. In Connecticut, all along the highways they have X-band radar on posts to tell the DOT what general speed traffic is moving and its really annoying cuz it sets your detector off ALL the time. So i can turn that off becuase Xband really isnt used anymore by cops and therefore no more false warnings

 

V1 does all that plus soo much more

 

if you dont get a v1, dont get any. simple as that.

 

 

the solo 2...isnt that the escort wireless one sold in crutchfield? i think v1 is only 50-100 more...probably well worth it (just got my v1)

 

Passport 8500 keeps me on POPO alert just fine. V1 is a kick *** Radar detec. too.... either way you cant go wrong. Solo is a cordless version of Passport 8500.
