I have had my Tokico/H&R combo on for 3 months now and am happy except that the back is just not firm enough. It will sag way too much with a little extra weight -- there is even noticable change when you when you go from an empty fuel tank to full.

My question is, who can I make it firmer? Aren't there some rubber things that you can put on the springs to make them stiffer and provide less rear squat? I know something along these lines has been discussed, but can't remember and searchs returned nothing...Thanks...

Yes, you can get spring blockers to put in the rear. The blockers are called spring lifters and are made of a high durometer rubber. They are about $5 from you auto shop. I recommend not running them around town because the effects of the blockers on progressive springs is not known. I run the blockers at the track. Before I used the blockers, my car would hop up and down the track. It is really funny to watch on video.

solution is to get Koni Adjustables for the rear and set them to 4/5 turns. That will run you $220 for both struts and additional labor charge.

Keven97SE (I think) has this setup and can elaborate further, with his thoughts on how much more 'planted' the rear is with firm Konis. Or, just search for "Koni" and you should find a post by him with further details.

Really, your hop is caused by the rear beam, and the shocks need to be even more firm than necessary to squash the hop.

Not many seem to like the Tokicos as 'sporty' replacements for the OEM shock. KYB AJX adjustables are due out in the coming months, which will be a good option as well....
