The Real Story behind UPRD...
#1
Well. i paid a visit to G-Force Engineering today (the REAL boys behind the ECU reprogramming) and got the latest scoop on what the heck happened to UPRD...
Well. turns out head of accouting/marketing, funked up BIGTIME. He wasted so much of UPRD's money, that all of a sudden, UPRD was in debt and running out of things to make money on..
So, G-Force Engineering, which WAS an independent company before mergering with UPRD two years ago, now is back on its own, due to the breech of contract with UPRD... UPRD failed to merge with Rod Millen, and a few other companies (mainly Wings Inc, which is an American distributor of Advan and a few other goodies) so now, they're running out of money...
So, here comes a savior (UPRD's current second-in-command) to gobble up UPRD, to keep it alive, but that means liquidating TONS of stock, and moving to torrance,ca... where things are a bit cheaper to maintain..
SO. now here's the good part. G-Force Engineering is now the ones selling the ecu upgrades for the maxima, and will continue to until.. uh ohs. they run out of Eprom daughter boards...
so. if the first Maxima Group buy goes well, there will be group buy 2... but .. that will be in a few monthes..
okie dokie. that's just to let you all know what the deal is. and from now on, please call it the GForce Engineering ECU than "UPRD ECU"![Smilie](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
