I mean G Force ECU

Opening day at E-Town, no winds, nice calm day before the storm tomorrow (or so they say). Not to crowded, mostly A muscle... saw one max in the lot but no driver..

Let's cut to the chase. I beat my personal best today so here is the new versus the old... interpret as you will.

---------old-------new
RT-------.922------1.015 (ouch)
60'------2.314-----2.322
330------6.4-------6.357
1/8------9.781-----9.699
mph------72.71-----74.48
1000-----12.674----12.553
1/4------15.118----14.951
mph------92.29-----94.36

The only other mods I made since last season is the 2k muffler and a shiftlight. Third gear felt really strong down the stretch, felt like I have enough room that shifting to 4th was a thought but I kept it in third.

Cheers, gentlemen.

silly question, how do you know when you are approaching the finishing line?
i only ran at e-town twice, had no idea where the finish line is, so i just let off when i hit 90mph in the max and 100mph in the gs, cuz i know they won't have a higher trap speed than that.

Ma Ma (Confused)-

Good run, buddy. Welcome to the 14s. I too ran into the same problem last year with 3rd gear and the end of the track. I tried 4th gear a few times and my ets and trap speeds never really changed at all. I think leaving it 3rd should be good unless you are running drag radials and getting really good 60 foots. I've run a 14.91@94mph in 3rd and I've run a 14.99@96.3mph in 3rd gear. That says to me that 3rd is just long enough to hold off the shift to 4th. My mods at the time were a HKS intake, y-pipe, B-pipe, and the conditions were 1200 feet above sea level and 80 degrees outside.

Tommorrow I'm going to the track to test out my new suspension, Poorman's CAI, and shiftlight plus running in cold weather should help some. I hope to get out of my typical 2.4 60 foots.

Keep up the good work.

E-Town is actually below sea level (~50' below)

it's right before the boards, if you

really focus on the boards while passing, you will see your time flash for a split sec... someone told me there are markers on the barriers but i never really paid attention to that.

You are forgetting that it was run on a different day, possibly different weather conditions, and an added 2k muffler and a shiftlight. Let's be objective when we evaluate the ECU, shall we? It's hard to attribute the improvement only to the ECU without a proper control. Anyway, good run, Confused!

Conditions will NOT change trap speeds 2 full miles per hour. Neither will a shiftlight or muffler. Look at my sig... I ran 4 tenths and 4 mph faster with just the Y pipe. But these runs were on different days and different conditions. So do you dispute the gains of my y pipe based solely on the fact that they were run on different days, tracks and under different conditions? I didn't think so.

Crap... I have been shifting to 4th every run??? hmmmm Guess I need to try to leave it in 3rd next time at the track?? My mph are only 92 plus right now, but once I am modded maybe then it will be time for 4th gear?? lol
