Maxspeeds and winter

I first had my Maxspeed springs installed just before last winter. At that time I noticed that they were very stiff and bouncy. As spring came around and the weather warmed up, I noticed that they settled and the ride was a lot softer and felt more like my stock springs. Now that it's cold again, I notice that they feel bouncy and stiff again. Has anyone else experience this with their Maxspeeds?

It's your struts, not your springs that are causing your harsh ride.

Uh, I have Maxspeed / AGX setup and don't notice any difference between warm and cold weather other than the maxspeed's squeak a little when it's cold. Ride is the same tho. It's become common to bash the AGX's now for having a stiff ride, which they sorta do, but the ride should be more or less the same depending on weather...

Bro - You live in Santa Cruz, CA.

AGX work fine there because it is 61 degrees there today and its January 12th. Your shocks work good for your climate and if I lived there I would ride a pair of AGX's instead of Illuminas/Maxspeed.

BTW, I'm jelous (sp.) of your climate.

It got down to 28 here a couple weeks ago, highly unusual.. But to me, that is damn cold, and unless you're talking far below freezing temperatures on your shocks, I would still argue it doesn't affect it much if at all. If you are asking about well below freezing, I can't help ya
