Ok, I'm not sure what this could be I was driving the other day and when I gave it gas the car hesitated and began to sputter, I put the car in netural and went to reve it up and it sputtered and than stalled. The car wouldn't start for a minute or two but than started up and it was fine. I thought it might have been bad gas, but again the other day on the highway it produced similar symptoms. Crusing at 65-70 I gave the car gas and it hesitated and had a loss of power, put it in neutral and it wanted to stall, however if I put it into a lower gear it would reve up and go away. That happend a few times but I haven't driven the car since then(Friday). I'm thinking maybe a lose plug wire? Bad wire? Any ideas, thoughts? The car has almost 133,000 mi. Thanks

You should take it for a tuneup get new plugs and new wires distributor cap, air filter and the usual oil change and check your air intake hose, in my old car the intake hose was cracked and the air was getting in where it was not supposed to and the car was stalling, hesitating and the acceleration was ****. You can check your igintion wires and distributor cap by wetting the engine bay and turning the car on at night with no lights around, if anything is wrong with the wires, you should see small sparks where the damage is.

The car is a 1995, it doesn't have a distributor cap, and I just resently put in new plugs. It's just upsetting that I can't figure it out. I changed the hoses not to long ago.
