What did you use to clean it once it was off. My friend used gasoline. Not sure if that's the best way to go though.

Gas is to get oil off....I guess it could work. Simple Green automotive should do the job....

or as bags would use.....BRAKE CLEANER!!

Carb. cleaner. They are cheap. ~$1.50 a can. They seem to do better job with oil/gunk than brake cleaner.

Get a can of that engine degreaser foam ****. I've used it before, and it works miracles (when the parts are actually off the car).
