Has anyone had good/bad experiences using Hiper-white bulbs? Are they blue or white? Are they worth the money?

they are very white.

All my Honda friends have them, and they are pretty white.

But some of em go out pretty fast, but just get it since they are not too expensive.

They may be very white...but not brighter >>

...plus their low quality means that they won't last long. Stick with brands like Sylvania, Philips, GE, Hella, Osram, Narva and Bosch.

I had in 100w Hiper Industries for while and I loved them! I didn't have the upgrade harness so they toasted my headlight harnesses. But yea for the price they are great IMO.

H3 doesn't last more than 6 months->

I'm on my 4th pair. Good thing I only paid around $15 for them. After they all burned out, I'm going back to stock.

They are good bulbs. I have them in my corners and turns. Very white, not blue or yellow. They don't last forever, but hell, they're pretty inexpensive. Pretty good bulb for the buck, specially if you want them to look WHITE.

I have them sitting on my desk. Dark blue tint which gets a little lighter over the usage. Nice and blue, sucks to drive in the rain or whenever the road is wet. Phillips and Sylvania use a very light blue tint. If you need 9004 bulbs, let me know.

I had the hiper 100w and one went out in 6 months. From far away they look white, but when u get close everything has a blue tint. Sorta neat looking when ur behind a white car and ur lights make it look sorta blue. Anyhow yeah these bulbs are cheap, and bright. Get the upgraded harness though. For my next bulbs i'm planning on goin with APC.

This is my second set of hiper bulbs, again lastly no longer than 3 months, but this time the high beam and low beam went out on the same bulb at the same time, personally, i'm not wasting my time with hiper anymore

Giving up on hiper white...

It seems like a lot of people are giving up on the hiper bulbs. Between the news that they are dimmer and less effective, more expensive, and (as everyone has noted) they go out all the time. For some reason my 55w eurolites burnt out my new harnesses, and that shouldnt be since its standard wattage. Oh well frankly im SO TIRED of all the BS involved with hiperwhites but I think they are essential to giving an import that edge. Just my 2 cents..

Bought some Matrix hyper white and went out like in a month or so. Took it out and see that the filament isnt even broken, just doesnt work. Got some piaa super white and hasnt had any problems yet. Been more than 3 months. Down side to the bulbs is that your paying for something that is as bright or less then your stocks. Just to look "cool", I guess. The tint on the bulb reduces the amount of light that can pass through. Essentially, the tint only lets the blue part of the light spectrum to shine through.

Also note that PIAA Superwhites use a light purple tint. Hiper Super Plazmas now have a dark purple tint. Plazma bulbs have a dark blue tint.
