The Maxima guys used plexi instead of circuit boards. They drilled the holes in the plexi and inserted the LEDs in the holes they rilled. Then they connected the LEDs on the back side of the plexi. IMO, I think it would look cleaner than what you see there on the Alti site.

My only question is if they had to mold the circuit board to the shape of the lights, because it looks like the LEDs bend around the edge of the light....and I would think the circuit board would break since it is so brittle
