problem with old gas?

hey... my car has been sitting for about a month a half with very little gas... i went for a spin today since i finally got my tranny in... and its runs ok.... but i have absolutely no low end. from a 15mph roll, i used to would spin like mad when i nailed it.... now its like starting from 2nd gear. so would really old gas cause this problem? just not burning well???? or causing the KS to retard beyond belief?

no i don't think so my car has bin sitting for like a year now and i didn't drive it at all during the summer and i started it like 2 months later and it would burn rubber in 1st and 2nd, and it would be a little bit stronger, so i donno maybe u just have to let it run for a bit or just start it every couple of days, that is what i do now during the winter, the only thing that went bad was the battery but no biggie i just jump start it and it will be good far a couple of days.

it's normal. gas contaminates (moisture etc). pour in some fresh fossils and should be good to go.

Put some dry gas or fuel additive into it to take out some of the water then see if it will help. Fill some new gas into the tank and drive the car to burn off the deposits.

6-8 weeks on one tank of gas isn't a problem since it'll be good for several more months. pull out your spark plugs and check if they're fouled and run a diagnostic just to double check the electronic system.
