Hey while a friend of mine was driving my car the other day he said he thinks my cluch is going. He brought to my attention that it has a lot of play, like over an inch of wiggle. Now the more I think about it, its pretty loose all around. It shifts right on the floor almost, I guess I always thought it did. Also I had the clutch replaced just over a year ago. If I have to replace it should I consider a stage 1 or maybe 2 clutch. Is it worth the $? Thanks..

The main reason you may need to replace the clutch, is when you step on the gas (something like 5th gear), the tach just spins, but you're not going any faster, that's when you need a new clutch. Every clutch feels a little different from another, so you shouldn't worry about it.

Right. Look for the tach to move but the speedometer not to, which usually means your clutch is slipping. As for it feeling loose, on some cars there are springs to adjust that control the tension on the clutch pedal. If it always felt that way to you and you don't think its slipping, then try not to worry about it.
