How long does tint last?

I just bought my car but the guy who owned it said he got it profesionally tinted 3 years ago. Well now I'm starting to notice subtle things in the tint like tiny bubbles (we're talking millimeters), also very very subtle bands of purple among the black outside. Is this normal or did he get a cheap tint?

if it's good tint then it comes with a lifetime warranty.

i change my tint every year.. there is no such thing as lifetime warranty. everything will fade. colored (dyed) films, like yours, will turn purple and fade, while metallic/polarized ones with still do it, but must less and will take a lot longer.

tiny bubbles (the micro ones) are not neccessarily tint related, but installation related. small specks of dust, or mishandling during install will cause them. every single tint job will have those. how many and were depends on a lot of things.
