primer blew up on my car!!!

Someone left a primer spray bottle in my gf's garage and while i was backing out i ran over it! It got all over my hood and on the front fender and especially on my chrome rims... im like WTF!!!!!!!! Im going to use brake cleaner on the paint (i used it on the paint before when removing my pinstripes and it did not eat away at my pinstrips) and will try to clay off the rest...

Does anyone have any suggestions? Im trying to take it like a man.... but im on the inside... im sensitive when it comes to my max.
Please any suggestions? Thanks... the .org always kicks but... I will also post in the tire and wheel forum about my rims...

If the brake cleaner doesn't work you can always use polishing compound. Then, if you need something else even more abrasive you can try rubbing compound. You might even be able to use the polishing compound on your rims? I would try it in a small spot to see if it scratches the chrome though. Also, try brake fluid on the rims I know this eats away paint so that may do the trick. Just a few suggestions, good luck!

your kidding right? I would use the compound before brake cleaner on my paint (would never use brake cleaner anyway), but you could try wet sanding it, if you cant get it off with some compound, or take it to a detailer and let them deal with it. for the rims try a brillo pad if there stock rims if not some good wheel cleaner will probably do the trick.

Once it dries, it will be most difficult to remove. I would recommend a paint and body shop.

OUCH!!!!! That's gonna hurt, You gonna have to get a professional job done since I don't think Primer can come off the paint once it's sets in. They'll have to repaint the whole car or part of where the primer got on it. As for the rims, they are gonna have to be replace. GOSH, why would a can of primer would be in the garage in first place or yet on the floor?

and you know this from expierience? I doubt the primer has bonded to the paint so great its not like the surface was preped or it happen in ideal conditions, like I said worst case is you wet sand it, its not like theres no clear coat on the car, and Im sure if you spent the time you could get it off the rims, so before you shoot off your mouth know what your talking about.

When I got hit, it left black stuff all over my car and rim. The guy at nissan rubbed some rubbing compound on my rim and that stuff came right off. The black stuff on my ca I took off with a clay bar. Saved 650 dollars.

for the chrome, you can use some fine steel wool and it will polish right off.. that's assuming it's REAL chrome. polished aluminum is way too soft for that.
you can also use it on glass.

for the paint, polishing compound, then rubbing compound if the polish compound doesn't get it off.

I've had to remove spray paint before from one of my other cars... stupid kids in the neighborhood get thrills off driving around spraying people's cars. ugh.
