Sold the 2k Max What do i do with the plates?

Well I finally sold my white 2k max se. I was wondernig now what do i do with the plates. Do i keep them on the car or do i have to report it to someone or is it all taken care of when the title is transfered over? Need some advice on this. thanks!

Was this car a lease? If not, keep them and transfer them over to your new car so you don't have to get new ones.

Nope wasnt a least but i have plates on my other car already. I asked if I could transfer plates in Ky and they said no.

keep it as a souvenir or, if the expiry date of the tags is over 6months away, take it in and you might get a credit for it.

Thats where Kentucky and Ohio laws differ.
