whistleing noise from tires

there is a soft whistleing noise coming from my tires
the reason i know its from my tires is when i have my window open and i slow down i can hear the noise dissapear...

Does the pitch get higher as you accelerate? Mine did the same thing--turns out that it was the brakes.
