Dammit.

Right in my line of sight.

Is that stuff I saw at Wal-mart any good? It’s supposed to make them disappear. (gee, I’m a bit skeptical)

Is there at least something I can put on it to stop it from spreading?

And before anyone tells me to search, I did. Looks like the DB of old messages isn’t working with the new provider yet.

Thanks for any help.

That stuff in plunger tube does work. You can goto an auto glass shop and they can usually do it for about $40. It will fill in the chip and stop it from spreading. Good luck.

There are no magic solutions to chips, the only answer is touch up paint, skill, and patience. You need some factory touch up paint, toothpics, very fine sandpaper, rubbing alcohol, rubbing compound, probably some other stuff. It's not hard, but it takes some attention to detail and practice. Don't just slap touch up paint on there, the biggest reason the colors don't match is because when you do that, you have an irregular surface in the middle of a smooth surface and the light reflects differently. See http://www.carcareonline.com/paint_chips.html for a good tutorial on how to properly repair chips.

My bad

Sorry, I should have been more specific.
This is a GLASS chip on my windshield.

I only WISH it was my first paint chip. Got plenty of them.
