Washed my car for the first time since October

Last time I washed my car was October 4th, the day before I went to the track for the last time of the season (that's how I know the date). Washed it today since it was getting a little salty. Was fairly nice out today, low 40s and sunny. It's been the same amount of time since my last oil change. I should probably do that too...

i did the same thing man, been months since i washed it, because of the snow every other week, and crappy weather, it would always been pointless.

Take it to the track now that you have lost a few extra lbs from all that mud, salt, etc....
You should be able to hit 12's

EDIT: Btw 40s is too damn cold to be washing your car.

I dont go more than 5 days w/o washing my car in the winter. I like my baby free of salt, sometimes its 3x a week. Now shes going to be nice and shiny when spring rolls around, cause I didnt neglect her and leave salt allover her

Anything over 32 degrees is PERFECT to wash a car.

It might fall apart from the salt corrosion if he goes too fast.

i sure hope you're using car washing soap and not dish soap. 3x!!! Can we say "no more clear coat"...

there will always be salt that you never found, and soon enough youll see a rust spot, and another, and another....

Storing it is the only salt free way to go!!!

Few weeks ago we were colder than Antarctica. 52 below zero at the coldest. With wind chill. Needless to say I wasnt washing my car that day.

No, dont worry, the only time id use dish soap would be right before I do a complete clay bar, polish, wax on the whole car. Ive been washing my car a lot more lately, because its above freezing now, and when theres salt on the car above freezing, thats when the damage starts up.

Last Friday was the first time I was able to fully hand wash my car since late December. I had been going to the hand spray car wash about every 10 days just to get the salt and snow off the car and wheel wells, but it only took about 1 hour to get the car fairly dirty again thanks to all the snow, salt, and slush on the road. I finally got to see what my car looks like when clean with the Stillen kit and saw blades. I'm pretty happy.

I didn't hand wash it because my hose is not hooked up, we have the outside spigots turned off so the pipes don't freeze and crack. I just went to one of those spray places. Its not very clean but it is cleaner than it was.
