Yesterday I went to the Nissan Dalership to look around and they had a special going on where they check your car and see if anything is wrong. I brought my 95 GLE in and they say it needs a Trans Flush, upper and lower rad hoses, and oil pressure switch. Then they say $430. I said get lost.
Is that price accurate or a bot high>?
I do not know much about cars but I can follow directions if you can help me.

$430 seems a bit high. I don't know why you need an oil pressure switch. Is your MIL light or low oil light on? Radiator hoses are about $15-$20 each from Nissan. A tranny flush usually runs about $100 depending on what type of service they perform. If they just drain an refill its cheaper but if they flush the tranny with a machine it run a little more. If you are handy, I would suggest doing these things yourself as they are easy and would save you some beans.

Translation: "We need some extra cash for our boat payments that are due."
I brought my 95 GLE in and they say:
it needs a Trans Flush
It is $100 for a full flush at any Jiffy Lube.
upper and lower rad hoses,,
$30 plus $15 more to flush and fill with antifreeze.
and oil pressure switch.
$10 part and 5 minutes of your time as long as you have a socket that fits around it. There is a post made today about where the switch is, etc.
Then they say $430.
I said get lost.
Good for you. Buy yourself a CAI or something with what the dealer needed for their next month's boat payment....
