Average Cost to paint bodykit?

I have a stillen kit ready to be painted and installed but some quotes i've gotten seem to be high, in the $700-$1000 range. Is that correct because i think i've seen other org members getting their kit painted/installed in the $300-400 range. I could be mistaken as well but I just dont want to get ripped at these shops.. Any input is helpful. Thanks.

You should make sure they blend the paint. The last owner of my car just replaced the rear bumper and didn't blend, it looks horrible. The front was blended when I had my fenders replaced and you can't even tell they are new.

2200 for mine, but i had the whole car painted, all the pieces match up perfect and that was a BIG plus.

shop around, you have alot less to be painted and if your not painting the whole car it shouldnt be bad at all.

I appreciate all the replies.. I know quality will cost more money. I may just get it painted and install it myself. Is there any modifications needed for fitment or does itt nicely go on? Thanks

Here's a question: When you guys had a shop paint your bodykit, how did you go about getting estimates? I mean did you go in and show them the kit when you asked, or did you just ask over the phone? And how did you pick which shops to ask?

Anyone who is into their car and cares about how good it looks should have a well trusted, reputable shop do ALL of their paint/body work, regardless of price. Shopping around for the lowest price is not the way you'll have a good looking paint job. Sometimes paying a few extra hundred is well worth it. When you see someone with good paint, ask where they have their work done, thats a good way to find good shops.

My car goes into the shop tomorrow to have my Stillen sides and rear put on and painted. I don't have the Max Tuning lip yet, but to have all of them put on and painted its $375. I should also mention that this body shop has a 2 month waiting list so thats why I have to drop the car off even if I dont have the front lip. I've brought this shop alot of buisness with my other cars so they cut me a break on the price. I'd say $400 would be on the low end for a lip kit and $700 would be the most i'd pay.

Its probably better to take the bodykit with you to the place so they can give you a good estimate. They want to see if there is any fitment problems and to see what type of bodykit (for example, just a front lip or a full bumper replacement for painting purposes etc..) it is to assess the total amount. I found a reputable shop that my friend goes to repeatedly as well as many others and it is a bit more expensive there but their warrantly is great on their paint.
