Right when I thought things couldn't suck any more in regard to the car.. first my dash gets HACKED by buffoons. Then my new YellowStars come and they're not yellow at all... I put in a replacement for one that blew out on the driver's side, and even though it's the same model number as the bulb on the passenger side I bought last summer, it's almost 100% white!!!!!

THEN .. OH AND THENNNNNNNNN

SOMEONE HIT MY CAR downtown today!!!!! Obviously someone who messed up parallel parking behind me and hit my rear bumper. Paint taken off and everything, but no dent.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

that's life

I thought you lived pretty far away from any major city, you'd think that that kinda stuff wouldn't happen. My friends used to live in Burlington VT and told me it was uncool to lock your car or put your windows up. My thoughts are people are people, and I'll lock my car regardless of what people think. I don't care if the women don't shave their armpits and half the people are barefoot and the other half in Birkenstocks, I'm gonna LoJack, club, and OnStar my car anyway, country bumpkins or otherwise.

I think since that kinda stuff is gonna happen from time-to-time I'd rather live near civilization and enjoy whatever benefits it offers. I'll never understand why anyone would damage someone else's property but I guess it's a part of life.

Some people are still a$$holes, whether they are country bumpkins or 'civilized' city slickers... Sorry to hear about your car

Hang in there Ant. It weird how a bunch of 'smaller' things can add up and really push you over the edge. I understand this all too well! Keep in mind that many of these things will be resolved in time.

What was wrong with your car in the first place? You say 'things couldn't suck any more in regard to the car'. I thought your car was pretty nice.

Also, how did your 'dash' get hacked? You mean your onboard computer? How did that happen?

I'm sorry for your pain.

Well, that's part of living in such a metropolis like Portland, ME.

I'm sure you'll find a new mod in the process of fixing it.

Take yourself to Aubergine in Four Street, have a nice dinner and don't stress over it. You still got a bad-*** ride!

jim: the dash peice around his tv was pretty much mutilated by the stereo install people... didn't look to good.

anthony: hang in there bro... everything was going good for me too and then all of a sudden my car computer breaks down, my neg battery terminal decided it didn't want to work so now before i can start my car i gotta pop the hood and re-tighten it (EVERY TIME I START MY ****ING CAR!!!) lol and right before i'm about to purchase some subs my engine decides it needs a new valve controller so there goes that money. On top of that, my ex girlfriend has a new bf every week and also feels she needs to let me know about this weekly. Ahh well, summer's almost here. I can't wait. =)

Not sure what you mean about civilization, etc. I don't live in a rural area. Portland is a small city (about a quarter million people) and I'm about an hour from Boston, basically 30 minutes out of North Shore Boston. This ain't Vermont or northern Maine, LOL. I really really like it here since it's like exactly the right blend of city and more relaxed coastal living. Boston's close, but so is skiing, hiking, etc. Did you know Massachusetts is 15 minutes from Maine?

People really have misconceptions about what it's like here, so I thought I'd explain a little.

What do you consider "civilization" anyway? A place with so much people and congestion that it takes an hour to drive 10 miles during rush hour? Exactly what benefits are you talking about? Just curious.

First of all the dash was hacked by the people who claimed they were going to FIX it. (see http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?threadid=27792)

Yeh and whoever it was didn't leave a note or anything, so I'm stuck with it. Damn.
