Will brand X headers fit my car? Look inside.

For some reason no one asked me this question when I first made the thread about installing the Cattman 3.0 headers on my 3.5 liter engine. However after everyone seeing this thread about my 1/4 mile trap speeds I am getting PMs asking if the Hotshot 3.5 headers would fit a 3.0. My answer to this question is yes, both sets of headers will fit both engines. But the reason I never posted this info is because I thought all VQ30DE engines required the EGR connection on the rear manifold. I discoverd on a recent header install on a 2k1 GLE that it did not have the EGR hookup for the engine and the rear manifold simply had a blockoff bolt. So when I installed the headers I just used that bolt to block the EGR connection on the Cattman header.
I do think that most if not all of the earlier cars require the EGR connections so therfore the Hotshot headers would require that fitting welded to it after the fact. This extra part and labor might negate the cost difference between these headers.

Also, as I have stated in other threads, the O2 bung locations are all wrong but the good news on that is they are wrong on both headers for both engines. So you're really going to have to extend O2 wires for the front primary (THE BLUE ONE NOT THE RED ONE) no matter what combo you use.

Cattman Headers on my 3.5

And on a side note: I do not know if they will fit the 6th Gen (A34) Maxima.

I'm not too mechanically savvy, but if I may chime in: If anyone plans on getting headers from SWA, make sure you ask about a kit (I believe it is?) to get that extension for the O2 wires. Jeff at Maximum Tuning was telling me about this the other day, but since I'm probably not gonna get mine until sometime in September, I'll have to ask him for the correct terminology.
