hahahahha

91 octane for life. i dont even think twice about it. Maxi deserves the best it can have

$2-$3 a tank equals out to about 10 bux a month difference. we waste enough money on mods, why not spend some on good quality gas??

But you do get more gas mileage with premium, Who in there right mind would want knock, its bad for your engine cause it goes into safe mode, Stupid people, someone should go teach them what a knock sensor is!!! lol

that's a good article. It's interesting that higher octane is denser and "more energy" to start that fuel. That's something new to learn about octane. Thanks for finding this good article.

I also only put premium in my car, if im going on a long road trip; I'll slack a little and put 91 - 92 octane at the cheaper gas stations around here, otherwise its usually Sunoco 93 or Ultra 94.

Good article. I always put in 91, but would probably put in like 93 or 94 if it was available around me.

"I would stop driving rather than use a lower grade of gasoline," says Andrew Martschenko of Boston, who drives a 2003 Nissan Maxima. Nissan says premium is "recommended" for that engine — automaker code for regular is OK, but you'll only get the advertised power on premium.

If the price difference between regular and premium grew to $1, Martschenko says, "Then I might consider trading down" to regular.

That pretty much reflects my sentiment.

My Max loves 87. No knocking or pinging (unless it's Marathon)
