Went to the track broke stuff.

Saturday I was at the track. I ran a 14.33@94.89 as my best run. I only got five runs in. Anyway on the first run the wheels hopped so bad the car was shaking, that the flex section of my y-pipe broke. Now my car sounds bad. Do you think I can get this fixed at a local exhaust shop. I don't want to remove this and send it in. I kind of need my car and I really don't feel like intalling my stock y-pipe. All comments welcomed!

You can probably get a new flex section installed at a muffler shop.

You might want to replace your motor mounts if you were getting wheel hop that bad. Epoxy filled mounts are the best for curing wheel hop, but you get more vibration at idle. I've got my front mount epoxy filled and my rear mount polyurethane filled. The other two mounts are oem. I get zero wheel hop.

I honestly thought about changing the mounts, but most of my driving is not on the track. I don't think I want the rough idle.

still you must change your old ones they must be in bad shape. because you will bust your flex again because your engine is shifting.
