One thing I have realized is...3rd gens are becoming more and more rare at meets. We had a HUGE MCC meet this weekend and there were 3 3rd gens, I brought my 4th gen cause I am working on my 3rd. I see TONS of 4th gens and they all seem the same to me and I noticed to everyone else. Everyone was just kind of like "oh, another 4th gen". just me?

yeah and all those polls have showed the 3rd gen to be the winner.

I have both in the garage (well 1 in the driveway and 1 in the garage) and if you want to know the differences, let me know...I drive them daily.

I bet money if you got in my VE 5 speed and then in my VQ 5 speed you would be like "did you put VTEC in that VE" haha If you took it on the freeway you would say "omg that is NUTS how the top end is" and in the twisties you would be impressed. No fighting, just dont think the "4th gens owns all" cause its older bro still kicks major ****.

I know "Bryan H" and I rode with him in his modded 92 VE (lower 14s@96mph) before he sold the car. It was quick, but it didn't feel incredibly quick nor did the topend pull. We hopped in my car and he was like "This car is definately stronger at all rpms". This was before the MEVI/JWT ECU also. We went from a 30mph the day we met and we were neck and neck from 30-85mph. That was when my 4th gen only had an intake and he was supposedly running mid 14s. He fully admits my 4th gen right now would walk his old 92.

No fighting, just relaying Bryan's opinion of my 4th gen

Dave

Well, truth has it that sitting in the passenger seat of any motorized vehicle it always feels faster than driving. I can get in my 425hp boat and it feels INSANELY FAST in the passenger seat, then when I take the wheel I am maxing it out thinking..."is this it, it felt so much faster in the passenger seat, I want more hp". So, Bryan was sitting shotgun thinking it was FAST (which it is VERY CLOSE to his car as you pointed out). When I drive both of my cars (and I admit the 4th gen is in better condition) the 4th seems to pull nice down low and mid, but up top it is no myth or lie that it is just not as fun AT ALL.
