Video of a 12.9 sec domestic vs Jime

Had some fun today at the track.

Ran a new PB of 13.5 @ 102 with a 2.02 60' N/A and got to spray the 2k2 for the first time.

Also ran another PB of 12.1 @ 113 with a 1.7 60' and 100 shot but didn't have any race fuel so saving the 150 until next track visit.

Fun day, Speedemn was there as well.

Video is not real clear because I squashed it down to 1 meg to make it easy to download. However its clear enough.

http://jime.homeip.net/maximase/Kill.wmv
Timeslip of that video, proving that the fastest is not necessarily the quickest, which is what the 1/4 is all about.

PS Had my Son (DSMJim) the tuner with me to tune my S-AFC II with the wideband so that helped bring the N/A time down from last time. Was hard to do because my Laptop has no battery so had to keep the car running all the time so the laptop wouldn't shut down. So the car was running all day pretty much which is not conducive to great times. Next time will either rewire the socket in the car to live or take my 12v battery power pack.

It was a fairly new, either Camaro or Bird, running slicks, they don't let street tires in the water box.

Seems like he has a bad driver gasket or something. My friend who only traps 105 is pulling low 1.8s on just drag radials......

very very very nice. The speed of your launch was insane. Can't believe a maxima with the amount of juice that you're pushing. You're crazy (in a good way)!

Sweet, jim you spanked the big domestic off the line, that run was great.. i wonder if he expected to play catch up.. (which he didnt do ..lol !) You just flat out spanked him, and the term "KILL" best describes this dual. Great driving !

I couldnt get over how fast your max launched nailing what was it a 1.8 sixty foot.

Great Job !

VERY NICE Jime!

There must be nitrous in the air where you live, cause your cars are always fast.

Ya its amazing I have had 3 Maxima factory freaks in a row.

Anything I do or have done is repeatable by anyone, no magic.

Funny part is I have only had this car for 2 months and haven't even washed it yet.

I got to watch him turn Camero's and Mustangs all day, lol it was great. Got some good video but that was just a snipit of the kills he had all day.

We were close to running an 11 sec pass but the slicks just were not up to it. With some new slicks and warmer weather, a high 11 (11.8 - 9) will be easily done with a 125hp shot, then we'll try the 150 and see what happens.

You can clearly see the difference the 3.5 makes, it was pulling 112-113 mph traps on many of the runs though the et was lower because the car was breaking lose. The 95 only did one best of 109 with the 150hp shot so clearly the 3.5 has a lot more power.

If you think it sounds bad-*** on video you should hear it in person. I'm gonna run it down the track next time so Jime can hear it himself. Pretty hard to tell/see what it looks like from video alone.

Jime: Post the video of you running 12.1 @ 113 for everybody to see, that was pretty good run. Good angle too. (Civic got the spanking of a lifetime in that vid hahaha)
