Hi Fellas!
I was fortunate to donate my car (97) for the CAI prototype for 97-99. Prior to that I have a homemade stillen type of intake. The following are some of my feedbacks:
- The intake is less loud than my previous intake.
- I can definitely tell that I have more lower and mid rpm range power compare to the previous intake, which is what I want since I do not want to be racing my engine all the time. The bottom line is that I gain low and mid-end power.
- The design is well done. Only has one major mandrel bent. So the flow of the air is not too much disturbed.
- So far I had no issue with water (in one week) with the little rain we have here in Minneapolis.
- The intake is seating very firm and does not rattle or move.
- The tubing itself appears to be cool after constant driving.
All together I am please with the intake
As for price, color and availability, check with DAN 93 SE at WarpSpeedPerformance.com.
Until then, enjoy the ride.

I hope DAN 93 SE can had one to my answer:
Matereial is aluminized-steel (don't the the gauge).
The pieces will be powder coated (red, yellow, black and more)
The place the CAI was build specialized in all type of exhaust work. It is very professional with up to date equipments. THis is all I know as far as the quality of the work. That place did all the other work for Warpspeed.
Hope this help.

cutting?

I don't know if it's ever been mentioned, but is the circle cutting still required?

Yes! this CAI draws cool air from inside the driver fender.
Templates and instructions will be provided with the kit.
