I didn't use the plastic strips on the Eibach's and I have not noticed and rattles.

When I had my Intrax springs installed they forgot to put those insulators. The springs would rattle whenever I went over bumps or bad paved roads.

Are you taking about the sleeve that you slip on the coil? My rear ones wouldn't fit into the Koni cups so I didn't use them. The Sprint springs fit really snug in there, so I don't believe you need them. No noises. I did use the front ones since they fit over the OEM cups. Try not to skip any parts. Everything has it's purpose. I figured out why my front strut was binding. Took the damn assembly off aleast five times. The upper strut mount was hitting the body of the car. The alignment shop put too much positive camber on the Stillen camber plate. I backed it off alittle and no more clunking sound.

I put the spring insulators on my sprints too. I haven't had time to go on a good listening test yet. It's crappy out.
