Someone I live with an I are going to put springs in his 330i and we're gonna do my Koni's and my Sprints tomorrow if time and weather permits. We will be getting and or have:

Torque Wrench
Jack Stands
Ratchet Set
Spring Compressor
Rust Loosener Spray

What else am I forgetting? What else is not necessary but helpful?

Thanks.

ok ok sorry.. get a hacksaw handy.. or a jigsaw.. because sometimes the rears get messed up and you can't get the bolt off because of the bracket over the nut and you might have to cut the metal bracket off

I forgot to mention that I'm gonna get pipe cutters for the Koni fronts. If I cut this bracket that you mentioned, is that going to need replacement?

I don't auto cross either. Maybe spirited driving once in a while. I think that I"m gonna go with the softest setting to begin. I can always adjust it later. That doesn't bother me.

Have some white out handy. When you take out the front struts, you'll have to unscrew 3 bolts that are holding the stut/spring assembly in place. These three bolts are differnet distances apart so you can't just put it back in any way, its kinda like a puzzle. So, use the white out and mark the top of any bolt. When you put it back in, you'll know which way the three bolts are supposed to fit.

17mm wrench, breaker bar or a piece of pipe to fit over the 1/2 drive ratchet for leverage. use 6 point sockets and you'll be less likely to have a bolt head rounding problem

a 12mm deep socket for the rear shock nuts inside the trunk. and a deep 14mm for the top of the shocks.grease.vise grips.
