i have recently purchased a used motor for my 92 se--aparently the intake has a power valve inside the intake--do i have to use my old intake from my motor that is for the automatic, or can i leave the power valve intake on the motor and just disalbe the actuator and leave the louver inside the intake closed?? will it operate correctly?? or swap the intakes?? please help

Might want to ask this in the 3rd gen section.
I'd swap intakes just cause.![Wink](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
It is impossiable to get it to operate like it did from the factory on an auto because the Auto ECU did not come with the 'feature'. Using a RPM switch works but it is not how our VI was designed. Ours is based more on load than it is RPM. I made a big thread that should answer any questions in the 3rd gen forum not too long ago.
One thing you could do is wire the VI to the VTC's.
