Your best bet would be to contact your local Nissan dealer, the parts department I think. Ask them to take down the VIN number and see what they can find out about it. Usually you can tell what exactly the part is by just looking at the part number. ex. If you notice all Nissan Maximas VIN numbers begin with I think "J". Try this, if not, we will all do some research for ya buddy. Later.

this is what keven told me:
If you do think you've found a unit, make
sure to have the place confirm it's a VLSD unit by either matching the
VIN# of the donor car (I was told VLSD-equipped Maximas have a "Z" in
the Vin# somewhere - ??) or by matching the tranny code (VLSD 5spd
trannies are R5F50V and open-diff 5spds are R5F50A).

How much did it costed you for the 5spd. tranny? Are you doing an auto to 5spd. conversion? I wish I had the money to do an auto to 5spd. conversion.

Do you know how much an auto to 5spd. conversion would cost anyway? I just keep hearing it's not worth the trouble. Btw, what do you have planned for your Max?

His sewing person is diligently working on those... actually, she's probably sleeping right now because it's her Spring Break.

conversion will cost between 1k-1.5k in parts. Depending on where you get your stuff. My friend's shop charges 2k in labor only for the conversion. After we do mines we can get a good idea how involved it is and we can get an estimated price for you....

Parking brake boots are in the works...hehhehe SOON!
