Engine Code and its cons.. HELP!!
Hi Everyone,
This is what i got for codes:
P0150---->03 03 Front Left Heated O2 sensor
P0325---->03 04 Knock Sensor
P0130---->05 03 Front Right Heated O2 sensor
My question is that what are the cons of driving around with these issues? I'm not sure how much this is going to cost but just wondering if I can do any damage if I drive around with this issue for a little while. Can someone help with any and all info regarding this..Are these an easy fix or does it have to be done by a mechanic?
Thanks!!

With bad O2 sensors you will have poor gas mileage and performance. If your engine runs lean (hot) then you may get into other troubles.
It is also possible that the knock sensor code came because of O2 sensors. The 2 O2 sensors are 1 hour job for a non-mechanical inclined people. I would replace them first, reset the ECU, put good gas and check your codes again after a few gas tanks.
Generally the knock sensor you can replace it yourself but it takes a little more time and detail.
The mechanics charge you big $$$ for the KS sensor.
See previous threads and the FAQs.

I'm not familiar with the O2's, but if the knock sensor is still bad and you don't have the money to fix it right away, it won't hurt anything to leave it. You'll just get worse gas mileage and terrible performance but no damage.

o2 Thread
Thanks Everyone for getting back to me. I really appreciate it. I tried to find the O2 write up but not sure if its the right one. It mentions something about putting the car on a ramp.. Is that necessary? Can someone send me alink to a write up if yo knwo where it is to change the o2.. I'm going to try to tackle it this weekend if it doesn't seem too hard.. .
Thanks Again!!!
Thanks Again!!!

The code is for the heater element inside the O2 sensor. The O2 sensing portion of the sensor still works. It just takes longer for it to get to operating temperature (more emmision during warm up). It is rare that heating elements on both sensors fail at the same time. The problem may be broken wires somewhere else. You can use an Ohm meter to measure the resistance of the heating element of the O2 sensor before replacing them. The two white wires are for the heating element, the black wire is the O2 signal.
