Help, major problems with Motostorm UDP...

Well I had my mechanic install the Motorstorm UDP on my car today (a very knowledgeable guy). He seemed to do everything correctly - new seal, anti-seize, torquing etc.

When I start the car I have the following problems:
-Very rough idle (almost stalled)
-Seems like transmission is slipping constantly (but it isn't)
-Will not rev past 4k RPM (seems to slip again)
-0407 - Crankshaft position sensor code...

Overall it seems like all the bad things I hear can happen, did happen. Somebody please let me know what's going on or if I have a defective pulley.

Make sure that the actual CPS (Crankshaft position sensor) is plugged in to begin with, since you are throwing that code.

If it is, check the belt tightness. Make sure that he didn't over tighten the belts.

And lastly, turn on the car and watch the pulley. See if you can see it wobbling or if it has an un-even spin to it....

Ok the sensor is plugged in.

I can't really check if the belts are too tight, my mechanic has the wheel key so I can't get down there. However they do seem to slip a lot so I doubt they are overtightened.

The pulley seems to wobble a little bit, maybe within 1-2mm if that.

There's a timing ring on the pulley and obviously your pulley's timing ring is not calibrated corrected and/or the magnetic pickup of the ring is not strong enough for the sensor to pick it up as it passes by.

Thanks for the reply Dave! On one hand I'm dissapointed to hear there was a flaw with the product, but I am much happier to know it can be fixed easily. Motostorm has great customer service so I'm not sweating this, just hoping we can get a new pulley on these by the end of the week!
