sorry, tbird is slow
I have a thunderbird and the 0-60 times are 9 sec for v8 and 11 for the v6. Its a slow car (quoting '94 stats but they have been using the same engines until they stopped production). I have a K&N and some other mods but I gave up. Its just to damn heavy.
are u sure?
u sure about those times??? my friends has a 93' v6 and i'm pretty sure it would beat my car with ease until we broke 100. this guy has a superchraged (stock from the factory) v6 t-bird and it's pretty damn fast and he would toast my car.
Here are some times.....
1983 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe 9.7 17.1
1987 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe 8.5 16.3
1989 Ford Thunderbird SC 7.4 15.9
1990 Ford Thunderbird SC 7.4 15.8
1991 Ford Thunderbird LX 9.0 16.7
1994 Ford Thunderbird LX 8.5 16.4
1995 Ford Thunderbird SC 7.0 15.2
Anybody know the HP of the '95 SC??
I've never ridden in or raced any so I'm not sure of the truth to these, but I see why they gave up on it

tbird sc
The '94 SCV6 has 220 horses to the v6's 145 (most opted for the v8 with 205 and saved the cash). I dont know why ford didn't SC the V8!! also '95 was the last year for the sc tbird and it was '97 or '98 for the regular bird. They tried the engine that was in the lincoln LSC mark series but it didnt fit, it has tons of HP. All the SC's were manual. The new tbird will be fast but it will also cost about 40K. I love the ride in my tbird. smooth but it is not a fast car. These engines are the same (block) as in the mustang (v6 and v8) but the mustang is much lighter.
