Clear engine gloss on exhaust?

I can't see the rear section of the exhaust getting hotter than the brake calipers, and people use that clear engine paint on their calipers.

Can we use this on our catbacks to protect against rust and stuff?

It would look a lot better than black and still keep that polished look??

I bought some black high temp for my stock muff. It can take 1200 intermittently and 600 for an hour. I don't think they make clear in that temp rating. Only up to like 500 or 600 (intermittent) heat.

I don't think it would be worth doing, since the inside of the exhaust more then likely see's more moisture then the outside. As for clearing the tip, I wouldn't try doing it. If it's chromed or polished it's probably to smooth of a surface for the paint to stick to it. I would just apply a good high quality chrome or aluminum polish on the tip to keep it shining nicely.
