i dont know why or how but the highest rev recorded by my SAFC is 6650. I'll take a pic next time i get a chance. I was so surprised, my friend in central jersey found out and we were like holy ****. I know the rpm needle goes up to 6800 rpm due to a little incorrection but the SAFC should show correct readings right?

SAFC will show the correct readings but a spike to 6650 is not out of the ordinary. Nothing to worry about.

thanks, it was more of a "my car is a super freak" type worry, not a "my car is about to die" . CAI is in btw . Massive custom work, wish i took a pic before putting everything back in

I know an easy way to get even higher than that. Not recommended, though.

thats a normal spike considering the boost your pushing. even with the jwt it spikes to 8,000 easy but if its only a nanosecond shouldnt cause any problems. im glad to see you did the cai. i will dc you later to get all the details so i can do mines.

hehe, u mean down shift from 4th to 2nd when i'm already close to redline in 4th?

Oh and i do have a MEVI but no ecu. And C Max, u can definitely hit me up but i had a good friend in central jersey help me with install. I watched a lot so i have a good idea of how to do it but i gotta give credit to him for doing the majority of the work.

Stock rev limit is 6600 or 6650 not 6500.

The stock rev limiter is 6550 so 6650 is only 100rpm higher, given the momentum of the engine, you can't stop something with mass instantly thus it will rev a little higher than that before the rev limiter has a chance to curb it.
