after i pull the ebrake, when i get out of the car, the car will creak.
and if i push hard enough, the car will even move..

anyone have this problem?

 

the max ebrake was self adjusted.

 

The ebrake is supposed to adjust itself every time you set it. Just make sure it clicks 4-6 times when you set it. I went outside just now and set my parking brake with just one click in Neutral and tried to push the car. Wouldn't budge.

 

hmmm...

i'll go play with it.. i set the ebrake and tried to move the car with the engine and wouldn't move... so that's good. maybe it was just loose that day..

Check your (regular) rear brakes as well. If you need a small brake adjustment that could be your problem.

 

on both my Nissans, the ebrake cable can be adjusted if you jack up the car and adjust from underneath with the lock/adjust bolt to tighten/loosen the cable. the later model Max don't have this?
