Miles on ur Brembo X-drilled rotors?

I am curious what your brake setup is. I am buying 4 zinc plated Brembo cross drilled rotors. ($200) I am not sure what pads i will get yet, i need some advice on pads with those rotors, best quality for around $40'ish per pair.

I can't afford any brake kits at the moment...i think.

How many miles have you gone on your brembo rotors.(regular pads, regular lines) How are they running now?

How much would a front brake kit cost.
Are SS lines worth spending $80 on? Do they really make a difference?

i've got about 8 or 9k on my rotors - still going strong - also, i used these when i was boosted, so i did plenty of 100 + brakes down to normal speed levels and i still have no warping.

the x-drill rotors tend to split under severe braking conditions. i went thru several pair including the ones you want to get right now. i brought them in jan and they split already. now i dont know how hard you drive but if your considering braided brake hoses then your about to put a lot of pressure to those bad boys. i buy mine for the looks and they are helpful for some brake fade but i heard the best for your money would be the slotted ones which wont split like x-drills.

Yea drilled rotors tend to split and crack at the holes. Slotted ones arent much better, when the pad is going over the slot, it tends to wear down the pads prematurely. Unless your going racing or autocrossing, get a set of Brembo blanks, high quality pads and braided brake lines and you'll be good.

As for you C MAX... You need a big brake kit!

I've got a little over 31,000 on my Stillen "Brembo X-drilled" rotors. I'm on my 2nd set of pads. Rotors have never been turned and are as smooth as the day I put them on.

About 5k on my slotted/dimpled Brembo fronts...still performing great and nothing out of the ordinary except a LOT less brake fade than stock rotors.

im assuming that ur gettin these from Automax_95 through the GD. i got a set of 4 crossdrilled/slotted rotors from him about a month ago and havent purchased the pads yet. but i will order some raybestos quietstop from redlinemax.com they are about 90 bux for a set of 4. i hear they are really quite, low dust and good stoppin power.

I've had mine for a year and 3 months, probably roughly 20-25k miles. They are running just fine, no warping or cracks. I'm running Porterfield street pads which dust more than some pads, but concensus used to be that they provided the best performance. Kinda pricey tho, but if you tell Porterfield that you are a maxima.org member they'll give you a discount. Even so, I think it's still close to $120 for a full set of 4. I'm weary of blanks these days. All these people with stock rotors keep getting them warped or glazed.

I have a little over 12k on my x dimpled and slotted rotors. This included some pretty severe mountain driving. I have Brembos in the front and ECM on the rear. Put Raybestos Quiet Stop Pads on front and rear. Have had no problems with rotors or pads, also very little dusting. Check your caliper pins for wear when you do brake job. All 4 on front rotors needed to be replaced, rears were okay. Best price I found on caliper pins was at Advance Auto, about $20 for a package of 4. I cleaned all shims and caliper pins and regreased caliper pins using synthetic high temp brake grease. Flushed and bleed brake system. As I said I have had no problems and now get very little brake dust. I highly recommend the Quiet Stop (Raybestos) pads as they are totally quiet plus give good stopping power. Best price I have found on QS pads is at WWW.ROCKAUTO.COM you can get front and rear pads for about $70 total and they ship fast!
