is Y-pipe worth it???

Just got a Warpspeed in the mail yesterday. Once I can figure out how to remove the bolts rusted on to the cat and install....I'll let you know. But the pipe looks cool sitting in the garage. I can tell you that the Y pipe is very light (less than 10 pounds as compared to 30 stock).

Doesn't matter what brand you get, just get one. I chose the Warpspeed y-pipe because it was a good deal. If Stillen or Cattman had similiar GB prices, I might have went with them instead.

price and noise
I am debating on getting a Y pipe, but I won't change the mufler or anything else, just a Y pipe itself with the rest stock.
Will it be loud? I mean really loud like those Civics with a 6" ixhausts loud, or just comfortable swooshing sound that I won't even hear inside the car.
How much is a reasonable price for one shipped?
Will I have to make any other adjustements?

I put on a Cattman SS Y-pipe a couple weeks ago. First, it looks beautiful. Top-notch build quality. It fit just fine. It added a nice burble to my exhaust note for most driving around town. It really gets a more aggressive sound at WOT.
My butt-dyno says it has much better acceleration. Plus, on a cold track a few weeks ago, when nobody could hook up at the start, I ran a new personal best e.t. of 14.861 seconds with it. When the track warms up later this Spring, I bet I'll get down another tenth or two, for a total benefit of about .2-.3 in the 1/4. We'll see...

Got the Y pipe on this am wit the help of a friend with neat tools. The difference in acceleration is immediate. It's almost like the car revs easier and needs leed throttle to get going. The Warpspeed Pipe fit Perfect and only has a smidge of bees in the can sound at WOT around 4000-4500 rpm. My intake is louder than the pipe. Plus the WSP pipe weighs a LOT less than the factory pipe... My neighbor is the service manager at the biggest HOnda dealer in Iowa and was impressed with the build quality and fit.

It is nice to hear that our WarpSpeed pipe fits well and it performs as we designed it to. Glad to hear the Honda service manager liked the look of it as well.
The weight being just a little over 13# is helped by the fact that we use as few welds as possible. That gives our pipes a more seamless look which also gives them strength yet allows them to flex, another reason we don't use butt joint welds.
The Stillen pipe I measured the other day only uses a
2-1/4" pipe for the collector while ours is 2-1/2". I would suspect the WSP outflows the Stillen also.
We will be flow testing several flex sections next week to see how the lined vs unlined compare, I should be getting them in mid week. If the flow is not effected we will probably try a few to see how they compare noise levelwise.

I do not get a buzzing droning sound at all at low rpms. I just get that sporadic bees in the can sound. I checked the fitings and its not hitting anything...also now I am geting the buzzing sound underneath the center of the dash. No idea what it's from. I checked everything and have no clue? Oh well, got a 200 watt Blaupunkt to cover it up. Now the car is fast enough to scare the crap outta my wife. On the way to a play last night she said the car felt as fast as the 98 Cobra I test drove with her 2 years ago.
