Maxima.... A keeper???

driving this car into the ground, and even then it will be a lawn ornament. 5.5 gen 6-speeds are going to be HARD TO FIND in a few more years. IMO the best max ever made, and the last to be made in japan.
2 years, 3 months, only 27,000 miles. Still puts a huge smile on my face when i get on the gas.
I had a guy at a gas station straight up offer to buy my car. I turned him down promptly. 4000 dollars in suspension mods and a lot of blood sweat, and tears. This thing aint leaving my hands that easily.
In another 3 years when this thing is paid off, I may get a G35 coupe. But the max will still be my daily driver.

Undecided because a single guy can only own so many cars before insurance (no fault) becomes a decision factor.
However, looks like my transmission is looking at a major rebuild, so then it's a keeper

Keep your new Max for at least 6 to 7 years because the depreciation and resale value in the first few years is steep. Then, keep the Max until the money you'll have to spend in fixing it exceeds the value of car. This is economics 101.

There is no way I'm selling her.
She is one of a kind, and the first car I ever brought.
We are going to the grave together for ever and ever.
When the time comes Jeff from Maximumtunning will give the Eulogy and I will be lowered along with the car into the ground.
A fitting end...don't you think?

Hahaha!!
I totally agree. Took me 6 months to find her. Waited 8 hours to get
her the insurance papers. 3+1 tires got slash, countless $$ put on her to
paid parking ticket and summons. I will be with her toward the end.
I wish I can say that to a girl...

i plan to keep mine because this version of a 5th gen only existed for 2 years, which makes it a sort of rarity. the fact that it's a semi-loaded 6 speed kinda adds to that rarity.
trying to find these car's in a few years will be like trying to find a loaded 4th gen 5 speed now. it's a pretty daunting task.

I have a loaded (5-speed) that still looks and runs like new - 53,073 original miles. When I first joined the Board a guy from NJ pm'ed me twice pleading to buy it from me as he has 130,000 miles on his and wants to boost one.
I ain't selling now or anytime soon, particularly since I love my new Y-pipe, lol!

heheheh
Just playing.
The other thing is I thought that by keeper you meant it would be a car that like in 30 years or so it would be worth alot of money. Thats just not going to be the case. However if you mean keeper as in driving it into the ground then back again, yeah mines a keeper . I've put too much time and money into the car to sell it, and I'm not even done yet
