Well guys, we waited too long. The date has been taken by another group. The next open date on the schedule is october 30th. I don't know what anyone wants to do now, but the date is off.

We should make a deposit ASAP, if hte same people are down for this date, and hopefully since there is more time, more people will sign up.

I doubt I'll be able to do it in October...

I move into my new house on October 15th..

but that does give me more time to convince the wife I need some go-fast mods...

Everyone check their distance to Steele, Alabama and we will see if that is do-able. Based on what Warren says it will be alot cheaper anyway. Steele is a faster track anyway.

Also, any other suggestions for drag strips are welcome.

I think choosing a different site, and keeping the date is a better idea...

how much does steele charge to rent out the entire track for a day? anyone from Bama?

wait, I'll go pick google's brain...

you guys dont give up ! i will work on another sig for the meet, when the new date is set. the meet gave the org life and everyone something to do and plan on.

what about the dragways in tennessee ? They have 2, and there is steele alabama.

quoted from Veetec
I was able to secure the track in Steele starting at 12pm, and running until 3pm, before others were allowed to join in for the regular test and tune, which runs until dark.
They did all this for nothing extra out of pocket. Just the $10 per person, and a promise that 75-100 ppl would show up. They also advertised our event on their site, and provided soda, chips, etc.

So, we could do Steele for very cheap, if the location is good for everyone. I live like 1 hour away from Bristol 1/4 mile track in Tennessee, but I can guarantee it will be expensive to rent. The other Tennessee track is in Memphis and I don't know anything about it.

Sucks to hear about losing the date. I was looking forward to either testing out my new car or just pushing the max to the limit. I'm sure everything will work out.

something tells me we're going to have to set a new date...

I'd imagine all the good tracks in the central part of the country are taken for Sept 11th..

Hey guys. I am in London for the month, just saw that we waited too long. That sucks! I got 5+ more people signed in while I was gone, but I guess without a track that is pointless. I pulled the meet page just now, until we figure out what is going on.

I am in for pretty much any track on the eastern half of the nation.

I would say that we could just go to Beech Bend on September 11th and race for 10$, but I think there will be enough Nissans that we should rent a day. If people are driving for this, I'm sure they would want more than 3-5 passes

Im really digging a rescheduled day for later in the year. Somebody had already said October, which for the Autumn weather is a swell idea.

Keep at the same track, so you don't further elongate the drive for the orgers who were willing to go to this meet, and by pushing it ahead in Oct, you can ensure this thread will saturate the Nissan forums and get a better attendance...

Updates? Should we have it in the area on Sept. 11? Or should we get a new list of people for OCT 3x for Beech Bend?

Oct 3 is good for me. And I'm still willing to pay the deposit as I was mentioning to Hal and 96sleeper provided there is interest. I know that was a sticking point for the 9-11 day.
