this will get locked:)

But I agree. The sorry thing is that half of them can't drive the car fast enough to make a differeance. I.E....they can't shift anyway, so an Automatic would hang right there with them

SHUMAX

Woooohoooo here comes the flames. Every guy with a 5spd will tear me a new A$$hole because they care CERTAIN they know how to drive one Hey..I admit I can't drive one good enough to pull 6.7sec to 60mph out of my 95se. I am not sure I would really want to either; my car is not a sports car, its a peppy family sedan with an attitude Oh well......geeze.

Yeah, but most of the 5spd owners of Maximas are on this board. Supposedly, something like 3% of Maximas are 5spds. Poll time!

Even with our automatics, it's not like we're weak or anything. The automatic in the Maxima is quite strong. However, if I had to do it over again, I would most definitely get a 5spd. manual.

agree

I suppose I agree, but don't find this issue worth yelling about.

I mean, I love driving a 5-speed sports car. I really do.

However, my i30t is an Automatic. I didn't have a choice. To be honest, if I'd had a choice I don't know what I would have picked. I really like the automatic, for several reasons, but there are times I miss the punch of a 5-speed.

I also agree that most people don't know how to shift, so the advantage is lost on most.

Honestly, I really really really want a 5spd. I dont like how I get taken off the line and then have to catch up when I hit 2nd with the auto. I like driving manual transmissions better overall. Maybe when I'm old with a bionic hip like my dad I'll prefer an auto. (that's why he sold his turbo Z for a big bad benz)
