oil/dipstick observation
Ever since I started doing the oil myself, the level is not low after a few thousand miles, it's the same.
I just checked it after 2400 miles and it's still over the high mark (I'm not worried because I only put 4.25 qts in). I used to check after the dealer did it and it'd need 1/4 quart or 1/3 by now.
No clue if DIY has anything to do with it, but hey, I guess we probably care more about our cars than someone making $7/hr to change the oil. I wish they had paid at least $14/hr to the oil guys so they would have put all the screws back in the plastic instead of leaving them off.....

Interesting how you're not getting oil loss now doing it yourself, but you were when you had the dealer change it. Sounds like they didn't put the drain plug or filter on tight enough to allow oil to seep. Any of the underside car have oil on it?
