"Cheap" gas

Don't know what other parts of the country have stop&shop grocery stores (may just be the northeast or even only western mass), but they will give $0.10 off per gallon with a stop&shop card. This brought it down to $2.06/gallon which is $0.10 cheaper than the average price and $0.05 less than the absolute cheapest around.

**note to the mods** If it turns out that stop&shop is only around here, please move this to the northeast forum. Thanks.

I'm in PA and never heard of them, except the vendor poll thread. I think I'll jus go to Texaco for $.06 off premium Wednesdays and use my AAA VISA for another 5% off. So I'll save around $.15/gallon.

guess it's only around here. Do you have to have AAA to get a AAA visa?

i think so. $50 membership, other household members $29. My insurance gives AAA discount for about $30. Roadside isn't great, 3 calls a year, but there's a lot of other services.

Do you mean grocery stores with gas stations? We have one at my kroger, but I don't fill up there, I'm a little paranoid.

Oh yeah, premium is 1.87 here.

Yeah thats right, its a grocery store with a gas station at it. swipe your shopper card and save .05 of reg or .10 of premium. Ive heard the quality of the gas isnt the best but at 2 bucks a gal i couldnt afford the good stuff till now.....
