apexi s-afc on an NA engine

could someone briefly explain what the apexi s-afc does for an NA engine as far as fuel economy and performace, and are there similar products like this out there? anyone tried them? just a brief explanation needed, i know it taps into the mafs and alters the signal attempting to "trick" the ecu thus modifying the fuel maps slightly? problems running lean? thanks for the explanation...

I dont think it does anything for it except for the fact that you can montior your car closely

s-afc is for tuning your fuel maps by adjusting your fuel either +/- in rpm increments. It wouldn't have any significant gains NA unless you are a vq35de running headers (some have been known to run rich)

tuning is done on a dyno reading your air/fuel ratios. Mostly used on turbo/SC'ed cars to obtain a safe A/F ratio for boost

gauges are used for monitoring cars, s-afc is for tuning. Don't be like the local civic guy at the track revving his motor and playing with his s-afc like its a gameboy.

an afc will show increase hp on n/a cars since they all originally run rich for protection, however i dont think the gains are enough to get it unless u plan to F/I in the future.
