cf hood ?'s

Hey all,

just a quick question to anybody that has a cf hood.. I just got mine a couple days ago, put it on (sorry, no pics) but i'm having problems with the windshield washer nozzles.. the nissan stock ones have a rectangular shape stem, whereas the holes drilled in my hood are circular.. am I missing something and the nissan ones should come apart into pieces and then fit, or do I really have to go cutting out parts of the hood to get them to fit?

If they really don't come apart, does anybody know of any brand nozzles that have circular stems so I wouldn't have to cut the hood?

Any help / suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks

i would say you will need to sand them down to make them a little bigger to fit your nozzles. i had to do the same with my piece of crap cf hood.

Willis,
You can always do what 1MAX2NV did w/ the Streetglow washer nozzles which are circles.

krismax,
Shadow's hood is pretty light b/c it doesn't have most of the framing underneath. There's only an outside edge frame for the latch and hinges.
It was a Fiberimages that thebigsadler had custom made w/o washer nozzles or a frame.

Streetglow LED nozzle has circular stem and I'm using those for the same reason. I didn't feel like making the OEM ones fit. Most local shops have the chrome ones which looks ugly. I had to order black ones from JC Whitney. I did have to drill the holes alittle bigger with my step drill but that only took 10 seconds.

I used a dremel.
I traced the outer edges of the nozzle post and made a template.
I then traced it onto the hood with a fine tipped paintpen.
Then used the Dremel to cut along the line.
Mine came out fine. The OEM nozzles now fit perfect.
